As we journey through this process, everyone will create a Sourcebook along the way, designed to keep that Divine connection alive and well and your creative juices flowing. This series of workshops, with writing prompts and timed writing periods, is designed to introduce or reconnect participants with the practice of personal journaling. The series will be led by Steve Ray, a 21-year Unity student on the path to Licensed Unity Teacher who has served the church community as a Unity prayer chaplain, youth sponsor, and Pastoral Care coordinator.  He has taught classes including “The Artist’s Way” based on Julia Cameron’s book and facilitates weekly contemplative and creative writing workshops through the Shambhala Meditation Center in West Palm Beach.

In Unity we are invited to shift our relationship to the Bible, or maybe even create one for the first time. Part of that comes with gaining a deeper understanding of what this Sacred book was meant to be, and who it was written for. Whatever else the Christian Scriptures may be, they were surely the response of early Christian writers to both the person – and the message – of Jesus Christ.

This class series will dive deeply into seven principles-practices that pave a path beyond the confines of the separate sense of "me." It will be presented in two modules of three sessions, with the potential of a third module being added.
